Your X archive contains everything from your account, including all your media, so it can easily be larger than our 1GB upload limit. The good news: we only ever read one small file from it — tweets.js, which holds the list of your posts. Extract just that file and upload it on its own.
Step 1 — open the .zip
Start by opening (or extracting) the .zip you downloaded from X. Most systems can do this without extra software — on Windows, for instance, you can double-click the file and it opens like a normal folder.
Step 2 — open the "data" folder
Inside you'll see the archive's contents. Open the folder named data.
Step 3 — find "tweets.js"
The data folder holds a lot of files. The one you need is tweets.js — listed alphabetically it sits near the bottom, so you may need to scroll.
If your system hides file extensions, it might show up as just tweets instead of tweets.js. That's only a display difference — it's still the correct file.
Step 4 — upload just that file
Take the tweets.js file to our Uploadpage and drop it in (or click to browse). We'll process it into your full post list exactly as if you'd sent the entire archive.
From there, follow the standard upload guide to run your deletion.
