The Origin Story

X Deleter began as an idea born out of a real privacy need. In 2011, software developer Richard West was working on multiple web products and services when a conversation sparked something new. A potential buyer shared concerns about her digital footprint and wished there were an easy way to automatically remove older posts from her account.

That request became the foundation for X Deleter. What started as a small project has since grown into one of the most widely used tools for managing and deleting X posts. Today, more than 5 million people have used X Deleter, with over 2 million active users relying on the service to regularly clean up their posts.
